OLFACTORY REHAB AT THE HOSPITAL OF GARCHES;
When scents can prove to be true allies in reviving memories and stirring emotions, the passion of Sophie BRUNEAU, the designer, truly comes into its own.
Did you know that smell is the only human sense directly linked to the limbic system, the seat of memory and emotions? That is why a familiar scent or fragrance is enough to instantly bring back distant memories and reawaken buried feelings. This is what is known as "Proust’s madeleine"!
Through these olfactory workshops organised by the CEW, Sophie BRUNEAU, the creator, helps to reactivate memory and stimulate patients suffering from stroke or head injuries at Garches Hospital every month.
SOLIDARITY MISSION TO BOLIVIA
At the foot of the Andes, an international solidarity initiative is working to protect endemic species by setting up an irrigation and agroforestry system to support a small Quechua farming community of 80 families in Bolivia. Thus, in El Terrado, thanks to the Purpan Foundation, farmers and the local population are able to maintain the cultivation of plants and the country’s natural resources. By contributing financially to this solidarity mission, AFFINESSENCE reaffirms its commitment to preserving the riches of nature, wherever they may be found across the globe.
